Larrisa Thomis

With a great sadness and heavy heart, we announce the peaceful passing on January 12, 2021 of our dear friend Larrisa, after a short and hard fight against cancer, from this journey to her next journey.

Larrisa has touched the hearts and lives of many far and wide with her grace, huge heart and beautiful smile. Her singing will be missed but always remembered especially her “Larrisian” joyful voice.

Everyone who had the honour to have met her had their lives enhanced. She was so positive about life no matter what her circumstances. It was hard to be around her and not feel the same.

A huge thank you goes out to the doctors and nursing staff at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the gentle care and kindness you gave this wonderful, spirited woman while in your care. A special thanks to her SOS driver Earl who took her everywhere she needed or wanted to go. Many thanks to Mark & Neelam who brought her to this beautiful Island, Sarah-Marie, Elizabeth, and Dawn for being there to help. I know she appreciated all of you.

Cremation has taken place and by request no service will be held.

Dliati my dear friend you will be missed by me and everyone you have touched.
