Lauras KELLY Obituary

Lauras William Kelly, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 21. His family and friends mourn the loss of a remarkable man who brought joy to the lives of many with his love, warmth, and calming presence.

Lauras was born September 23rd, 1952 in Nanaimo, BC and spent his childhood in Sarita Bay, BC. Throughout his life, he represented the values of family, hard work, and cherishing the simple joys of life. He was predeceased by his father William and sister Laurie.

Lauras is survived by his wife, Colleen, with whom he shared a loving and fulfilling marriage for 49 years. Lauras will be deeply missed by his children: son Bill (Kristie), daughter Crystal (Joel), and son Matthew (Lauren). He was a pillar of strength and a constant source of guidance and support for his children, who will forever cherish the memories they created together.

Lauras also leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his grandchildren: Madison, Adelaide, Rylee, Sophia, Kendall, Louis, and Charlie. He took immense joy in watching them grow and nurturing their dreams. His love for them knew no bounds, and his memory will continue to inspire and guide them throughout their lives.

Lauras was also a loving brother to Georgina, Bonnie and Sandy, and a devoted son to his mother, Marvel. His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

For over four decades, Lauras dedicated his career to the logging industry. His commitment and strong work ethic made him a respected figure amongst his fellow peers. He took pride in his work and found solace in the great outdoors, especially while fishing, hunting and spending time with family. Nature was his sanctuary, and he instilled in his loved ones an appreciation for time spent outdoors.

Above all, Lauras will be remembered for his loving nature and the joy he found in spending time with his family. Whether it was sharing laughter around the campfire, embarking on outdoor adventures, or simply being present in the lives of his loved ones.

A celebration of Lauras' life will be held at a later date providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together and honor his memory.
