Lois was born in Leeds, Yorkshire in 1935 June 10th. Several years later she met the love of her life and soul mate Ian Robinson. After getting married in Ilkley and after having their three children Nigel, Martyn and Linda they decided to emigrate over to Canada.
The Robinsons soon found their way to the little town of Port Alberni. While Ian was off training to become a certified teacher, Lois spent her days as a full time mother tending to the needs of her children, house chores and supporting her husband as best she could. With no hesitation Lois began forming remarkable friendships and relationships in the Alberni Valley community.
Her kind, sweet and lovable personality was impossible for anyone to ignore. Eventually Lois was introduced to her grandchildren Chris and Eric. Living just up the street from her, the two boys would constantly visit their grandparents either to sneak into the cookie cupboard or to help with yard work chores.
Lois became very involved with her local church and choir group, always going to rehearsals and preparing for Sunday church gatherings. She had a great passion for golf and was a dedicated member of the women's golf club. If she wasn't in her garden, picking, pulling, planting or pruning she was in her second favourite place, the kitchen. Lois was renowned for her baking skills. Her signature shortbread will never be forgotten as no one could ever replicate it. As well as baking, Lois was always meal prepping and cooking trying to figure out what was next. The countless times she would host amazing Sunday dinners for her friends and family was admirable.
Lois will be truly missed by her friends and family as she is now reunited with her loving husband, Ian.
Rest in Peace Lois
