It is with great sadness, the family of James Wilfrid Hogan, QC announce his passing on Sunday, December 3, 2017. James was survived by his children, Stacey (Darcy), Kim (Duncan), Sean (Shaheen), Liam (Cathy), and stepson, Jason; and his first wife and mother of his children, Judith (Les); grandchildren, Caleb (Kaitlin), Justin, Sydney, Ryan, Molly, Bryden and Jack; siblings, Michael, Dennis, Maureen and Bill; and was predeceased by his second wife, Lorretta; stepson Jamie; and his parents, Mary and Wilfrid Hogan.

James will be remembered for his brilliant and distinguished career as a criminal lawyer which spanned over 50 years. A great lover of life, the law and all things football; a wonderful father; steadfast friend; he touched so many lives in little and big ways with his unwavering good nature, his joyful and kindhearted spirit; his compassion, his strength, and generosity - we were all blessed to have known him. Thank you, Jim. We love you.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Law Courts Inn, 800 Smithe Street in Vancouver.  The family invites you to drop by and share your memories and stories in honour of Jim.
